It's not Spring! It's not Spring at all!
But – it was high time I tidied up this dA account a bit. There're some decent things here, some very shameful ones (most of them old enough for me to get rid of them without second thoughts, fortunately – but some much more recent than I would have hoped, especially dating back to my "digital lineart" tryouts), lots of colos that get much more attention than they deserve, and some stuff that is just too old to have lying around as if I was proud of it.
I still need to do some thinking about how I'm going to classify the whole thing (I've seen many artists use one folder per fandom, but would I ever submit enough deviations to have use for something like that?), but…
I'll also try to submit more stuff, even sketches. I do A HUGE LOT of sketches. It's very rare that I take the time to ink or color them, but does it mean I shouldn't upload them? No, sir! I said no, sir! I don't care if noone will look at it!
Especially now that I have access to a scanner again.
Obviously I couldn't have felt more inclined to do something like this than at the worst time of rush as regards homeworks, presentations to prepare, etc.

I need it done yesterday
Well I tried, but it seems digital linearts really don't agree with me. Even trembling-hand-noobish-dirty-Indian-ink usually yields better results than my promising but unsatisfactory attempts with first Photoshop and then GIMP's pen tool. It's a shame, because digital linearts are cleaner. But I just can't do traditional colorings, I mean, I have no idea how to do that. Should I try water paint? That sounds preposterous. Why on earth would I be able to use waterpaint? So for now back to the mixed blood fanarts: traditional lineart, scan, clean (sort of) and digital coloring. What comes next is: what category should I use on dA? Traditional
Procrastination and shortcakes
Helluw... I wanted to notify anyone who might have read my last journal entry and not heard about it yet, that we already have enough cranes to make not one, not two, but THREE senbazuru for Minekura-sensei... So time's up, mates! Our love will be sent to sensei anytime now.
As far as my insignificant little life is concerned, you might be interested by the fact that I'm a hopeless procrastinator. This tends to replenish my deviantArt, unlike my assignments... That sentence didn't make a lick of sense. I just mean I spent the last few hours coloring that Kouhane pic when I have so much homework waiting. But, hey, that's what it's like to be
A senbazuru for Minekura-sensei
Please, I know I have a few saiyuki fans watching my dA, so I'm addressing all these devoted people.
As you may or may not know, Minekura-sensei is currently going through some hard times because of serious, painful health problems. We want to express our concern and create a senbazuru - that is, an origami figure composed of a thousand origami cranes. An old legend in Japan says that the one who can fold this senbazuru can be granted one wish, such as recovering from illness.
This could really mean something to Minekura-sensei.
But we need lots of fans to participate in order to reach the somewhat astronomic number of one thousand.

Howdy!
I'm back. I've learnt how to use the pen tool; my first try was on the original drawing Dreizehnter Mond, so I've updated the deviation in my gallery, if you're interested.
What does it matter? Well my friends, it means I will be able to upload lineart deviations even without a scanner, which I couldn't do for the past two years. It means original drawings are back! Well, maybe. If I have the time. And the motivation. And if my graphic tablet doesn't die. So don't get worked up, too many ifs.
YET (and even though most of my followers are only interested in my colorings, and I don't blame them), it will probably mean I'll upload more
